So cute, I just couldn't help it....

Okay, I know I haven't been keeping up with my blogging duties, so first of all let me apologize. I PROMISE to be better from this point forward...I'm just too excited about our adorable Spring/Summer stuff to keep my mouth shut!!

When I was walking through the shipping department last week, I saw this adorable two piece set and had to snap a picture. Keep in mind that this was taken with my cell phone, so the picture is terrible, but you'll get the idea:

I mean, how adorable is this? Soft pink pique with sprout check trim, Strawberries smocking. Too, too cute! I hope we'll get to see pictures of its intended child wearing it!

Spring/Summer is Here!

I cannot believe that we are already into the second week of shows! Time flies when you are having fun, right?

I am too sleepy to post too much right now (and can you believe that I have been texting up until now with a Rep that is STILL taking orders at her show...talk about dedication!) but I did want to share a few things:

1. This season is starting off with a bang, with some wonderful (thanks, everyone!) feedback from our Representatives, Hostesses and customers. I am proud to say that everyone seems genuinely thrilled with the samples and their choices this season, and we couldn't be more excited!

2. We had a GREAT photo shoot with Kate Byars of Atlanta last Friday... www.katebyarsphotography.com . I cannot say enough about her. Aside from being IMMENSELY talented, she is excellent with children, and everyone wanted to go home with her when it was over. Check out her blog to see some of the pictures from the shoot (www.katebyarsphotography.com/blog) and some others that she has taken. If you are in or even around Atlanta, or in New Orleans, and need a photographer, look no further.

Under Pressure...

You know the song...the one that sorta sounds like Vanilla-one-hit-wonder-Ice in the beginning (didn't he get sued for that, btw?)...by David Bowie and Queen...

That song has been running through my head since Thanksgiving, the theme song of the last couple of months, living life, loving my family and working on trunks.

And now they are finished.

Yep, trunks shipped yesterday. Such a strange feeling - such a relief, but at the same time, a new different kind of stress. I am sure that most of you go through the same thing, be it at work, school, with your children, wherever. That feeling of lightness that comes with the completion of something, but then you are almost instantaneously brought back down with concern/anxiety over the finished product itself, or some other obstacle just around the corner.

I have told you all this before, but shipping the trunks out is sort of like putting your child on the bus for the first day of school (and before you all shoot me a nasty message - no, I DO NOT think the trunks are as important as my children :). You are so excited, but worried for them too. Will they be okay? Will others like them? Will everyone else see them the way you do, or are they not really as spectacularly fantastically friggin' awesome as you think they are?

Only time will tell. I will say that this is the best trunk Three Mommas has ever offered, with more fabrics, styles, smocking designs, appliques, etc. than ever before. But it isn't just quantity - everything has a freshness, a soft-type of whimsy to it that was simply missing other seasons.

But who knows? To each her own, and you might disagree. Maybe you will see it and immediately want to laugh at it, steal its lunch and stick a "kick me" sign on its back??!!

Is it really only 6:30???

I am exhausted. I am surely more exhausted than anyone else has ever been...you only think you have been exhausted...you wouldn't want to be me right now...

Enough melodrama for you?? :)

No, seriously, I am tired. It should definitely by at least 10pm, but it isn't, and thank goodness. I have more work to do before the day is over, and a long week ahead. Is it just me, or is the month of November just CRAZY?? Between work, school things with the boys, Thanksgiving and Christmas looming over me (now, that sounds bad...I love Christmas), the month is just a whirlwind.

There is good news, though, and a light at the end of the tunnel. Even the late, late shows (we had shows through mid-September) should be shipped out this week, with the exception of a few pieces (do not do not do not do not get me started on my tshirt supplier) that will ship next week. Otherwise, that's it...bye Fall/Winter, so long corduroy, nice talking to you turtlenecks...see ya next season, and thank goodness for that!

And now...on to Spring/Summer! We have been busy putting new styles/designs together that you are just going to LOVE (trust me on this...yes, we are doing the smocked suits again...yes, there will be some new things for boys...no, we are not re-using lots of smocking designs...yes, we will have lots more appliques...and no, you CANNOT see pictures yet!! Be patient!).
